Panthers starting Right Tackle Jeff Otah has been placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Otah had missed two games already this season due to a left knee injury that has slowed him down for the past two seasons. This makes the third time that Otah has been placed on IR in less than two years. Otah was disappointed in the team's decision, but understands. His replacement in the starting lineup will be Byron Bell, an undrafted rookie that took Otah's place in the two previous games that Otah missed. Head coach Ron Rivera has high hopes for Bell in the starting role. Otah hopes to come back strong for the 2012 season.
