Panthers/Redskins Preview

The Carolina Panthers will return to the friendly confines of Bank of America Stadium this Sunday as they host the Washington Redskins. The Redskins have been a surprise team this year, at 3-2 on the season and in second place behind the New York Giants in the NFC East. They are coming off a tough loss to their division rivals the Philadelphia Eagles 20-13. As a result of that game, the Redskins will have a new starting quarterback this weekend in John Beck, who replaced an ineffective Rex Grossman in the second half of last week's game. The Panthers will start their eighth different linebacker, in third year player Jason Phillips, whom the Panthers acquired off of waivers from the Baltimore Ravens. This will be Phillip's first career start. Game time is 1p.m. this Sunday.
