Lack of defense costs Panthers vs. Falcons

It appeared that the Panthers would take control after three quarters of action in the Georgia Dome. Then came the fourth quarter, and everything fell apart. The Falcons put together some key fourth-quarter drives, aided by some clutch turnovers by the Panthers down the stretch. The Falcons scored seventeen unanswered points in the fourth to go from a 14-10 deficit to winning the game by a final of 31-10. Postgame reaction was much the same as in previous weeks, with players commenting that the team had to find ways to finish games. This loss marks the worst loss of the season for the Panthers. The Panthers will take on the Washington Redskins next week.
